Your Wellbeing Is Our Business

Derby Clinic @ 1 Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3HZ
Direct Dial 01332 332530

The Derby clinic is conveniently located in central Derby, in a beautiful period building in Friar Gate, the established professional quarters in Derby city centre.

The clinic is easily accessed from all localities in Derbyshire, including Burton, Chesterfield, Matlock, Buxton, Buxton, Ashbourne, Belper, Alfreton, Swadlincote, Melbourne, Duffield, Uttoxeter and beyond.

The clinic sees many students from the university in Derby at the travel clinic and for private appointments, as well as providing occupational health services, travel vaccination services and private GP services to the employees and management of the major engineering firms in Derby such as Rolls Royce, Cullum Detuners, Bombardier and Toyota.

The private GP service in Derby is run by our most experienced clinician, Dr Bobby Ahmed, who underwent part of his hospital training at the Royal Hospital, Derby and who knows the local medical infrastructure well.

All local secondary referrals are made to the consultant specialists based at the Nuffield Hospital, Derby in Mickleover, and also the new Spire Hospital in southern Nottinghamshire which is within easy reach of Derby.

We work in close partnership with our local secondary care providers and offer investigations such as x-rays, ultrasound and MRI/CT imaging often on a same day basis.

Consultant appointments are typically available within 2-3 working days and our blood test results are returned and available within 1-2 working days from The Doctors Laboratory..

The Derby clinic benefits from an in-house therapist, Lisa Wakefield, who offers counselling and cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT) sessions for people requiring these important "talking therapies".

The NHS Walk-In Centre in Derby is at the site of the Derby Royal Infirmary at Osmaston Rd, Derby DE1 2GD - Tel 01332 224700
